I was just electrocuted pulling some stuff out of the gutter on top of a store. Im pretty sure it was from a loose wire coming out of a sign on top of the building. I felt my whole arm get shocked for a second. How many watts or volts did I just experience (the wire was from one of those commercial light fixtures)
Wow I didnt think it was that serious its good to still be alive. I guess Im real lucky because I was actually on a metal roof.

The watt or volt depends on how much is the electricity from the wire that comes from a electricity source.

I had once seen these things where you attach Christmas lights to a flat piece of plastic and then they snap onto the Gutters of the house, at the end of the season you can keep the lights on the plastic thingie and store them away…..It looked pretty easy to use. But does anyone know what I am talking about and do you know where to order them?!

Ten Months ago we were living on the street evicted for not being able to pay the rent. We spent all our $ to buy Heroin, the medicine that made it possible for us to function without severe life threatening sickness of which most of you cannot, or will ever understand. We recently came to vancouver to maybe have a better life, but AstugfrAllah, we only went deeper into addiction. We also were drinking a whole bottle of whiskey every morning along with our wake up shot. I wont describe the symptoms and effects of quitting both of these VERY dangerous drugs here due to space limitations, but you can google it if you wish. I was a quadrapalegic for 4 years, then after being in hospital (all the time being given Morphine 3 times a day as well as numerous other injections of Allah only knows what,) I was released and spent 4 years in a wheelchair afterwards. But I was still on the morphine. I have been an intravenous drug user for more than half my life. Through years of Physical therapy, I now can walk. This is how I was when I met my wife Maryam. She was a 90 LB little 17 year old, who could drink any irishman under the table. She would drink a 60 ounce bottle of gin EVERY day. We were homeless living in the alleys of the downtown east side of vancouver and we were heading to either jail, or death due to the nature of the ways we had to raise 300 dollars a day MINIMUM. One day, we stumbled into a surplus store & as we were about to leave we saw a stack of Qur’ans. We asked the man how much for this book? He looked VERY suprised that not only did we want the book, we wanted to BUY it. He replied, “they are free, take a few to give to your friends”. That night I read theQur’an in an alley where about 30 Punks we would all huddle for warmth together. I got as far as Al-Kahf the story about how the Angels turned the men as they slept in a coma for 309 years. When I read that, I dropped the Q’uran and the bottle I was drinking for I KNEW what I read was a Miracle! When I was in the hospital, they had to turn me over several times a day to avoid my getting blood clots and death as a result of embolism.They told me that until only recently, countless people died from it over the countless years of mankinds history due to lack of knowledge. The next day, I showed my wife all this, and ALHAMDULIALLH She agreed and suggested we pay our new friend a visit. He called a Brother of his who owned a halal pizza shop and told him of these two street kids. We said we want to become Muslims Teach us to do the 5 prayers! The man upon hearing this, closed his pizza shop and came.He spoke to me only, as my girlfriend was wearing a VERY short mini skirt, a tube top no Hijab etc. He then bought a bandana, and told me to tie it on her head then some pants, and a hoodie that covered her boosom and arms. Only then did they speak to her. They explained about why and averting ones eyes, guarding your chastity, dressing simple and moderate and about the hijab. Today she wears a niqab, but wants a burka, but weve been unable to find her one.
He then took us home where we both proclaimed our Shahaddah, and then we were shown how to do woodoo, and then we all prayed. He let us, 2 complete strangers off the streets of skid row, sleep in HIS room while he, slept on the floor.
The next day we prayed in the allys or the squats, much to the amusement of our old kaffir friends who were shooting up heroin and smoking crack while we prayed. We continued like this for about 3 and a half months until we got married at a local Masjid under the eyes of Allah. The Afgan agreed to be my wifes welly, and another brother gave us a spare house he owned to live in rent free for as long as we needed to get back on our feet on the condition that we both quit drinking and using needles. Allah made it easy on us to quit, and I am now writing this sober as is my wife. Suhannah Rubial aziim!

Ok so I bought icicle lights for my gutter last year and all of the bulbs worked, this year there are maybe one or two bulbs on a few strands that don’t work, why?

I took care of them and I stored them away safely.

The sockets may have corroded from moisture and/or handling broke the filament in some bulbs.
Pull the failed bulbs out and reinstall them. If they work, it’s corrosion. If not, try replacing the individual bulbs.
