just bought a house with screens over the gutters that do not look so great and are falling off in places. can’t decide whether to pull them off and leave the Gutters exposed or pay to have gutter helmets professionally installed. (have several trees throughout the yard – oak, ash, etc.)

If the trees hang over your house or the leaves blow onto the roof often then yes gutter helmets are a good investment. If you answered no then no don’t bother..
