First I apologize for the huge amount of “Umms” and “Uhhs”
This rain barrel is mine but is based in theory off of others found on the Interwebs. My mom wanted a rain barrel but I couldn’t let her pay more than double for a store bought one. So I made this.

Parts list is basically as follows
55 Gallon Blue barrel HDPE (i found mine on craigslist for 25 dollars!)
Assorted PVC piping and joins (Home Depot 4-7 dollars)
PVC Primer and Cement (Home Depot about 6 dollars)
3/4 in spade drill bit (Maybe you already have this or can lend from a helpful neighbor like I did)
Drill (same as the drill bit)
Optional – spray Paint (found my specific Krylon no prime paint at Sears; color is Hunter Green)
